Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood – what young people are telling us

This presentation will explore and discuss the findings on what young people are telling us about their experience of Personal and Social Education/Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood.   Based on these findings, there is also the opportunity to examine what should be covered in PSE/RSHP education to meet the needs of children and young people today.

Empowering Young People to be FEARLESS

Fearless ‘Train the Trainer’ aims to equip all professionals working with young people in a variety of settings with an understanding of how young people can utilise fearless.org to report crime 100% anonymously. The workshop will also cover the hub of factual information about crime on our website and the free resources available to professionals including – Street Crime, Weapons and Child Sexual Exploitation.

It’s Time for LGBT-Inclusive Education

Delegates will learn more about the work of Time for Inclusive Education (TIE), both at a national level and directly in schools; made aware of the issues affecting LGBT young people in Scotland today, and what initial steps they can take to ensure that their schools are LGBT-inclusive.

SGA events are organised by members of the SGA Committee. Organised by teachers for teachers, we aim to provide a range of interesting and practical presentations, designed to refresh the hard working guidance and support staff in our schools.

Cancellation: In normal circumstances, booking fees cannot be refunded, nor invoices cancelled. However, replacement personnel are welcome.
